<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of curing a uniform coating film with excellent coating film performance and presentable appearance to be easily formed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of curing a coating film comprises a process to form a coating material layer by applying a coating material containing a heat regenerating substance 10 to the surface of an object to be coated 100, and a process to irradiate the coating material layer with a microwave. A motion of a molecule contained in the coating material becomes brisk by irradiating the coating material layer with the microwave by the process and consequently, a molecular friction with peripheral molecules occurs. The heat energy generated by this friction is absorbed into the heat regenerating substance through the coating material layer 110. The retention of the heat energy by the heat regenerating substance results in the gradual heating of the whole coating material layer. Thus this heat cures the coating film.
