PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas alarm for preventing gas to be detected from being supplied more than required amount in checking of a gas sensor. SOLUTION: The gas alarm includes a case 51, a gas inflow hole 62 to be provided at a surface of the case 51 and for making the gas to be detected flow into the case 51, and a gas sensor accommodated in the case 51 and for detecting the gas to be detected and flowing into the case 51 from the gas inflow hole 62, wherein a gas checking unit 100 for supplying the gas to be detected is mounted to the gas inflow hole 62, and checking of the gas sensor is performed by making the gas to be detected which is supplied by the gas checking unit 100 flow into the case 51 from the gas inflow hole 62. The gas alarm includes a flat surface portion 61 provided at periphery of the gas inflow hole 62, and a step portion 63 provided at periphery of the gas inflow hole 62 and having a height different from the flat surface portion 61.
