PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide composition excellent in heat resistance, flowability, toughness, a low water absorptivity and stiffness, and further excellent in flame retardance. SOLUTION: This polyamide composition contains (A) a polyamide obtained by polymerizing (a) a dicarboxylic acid containing at least 50 mol% alicyclic dicarboxylic acid with (b) a diamine containing at least 50 mol% diamine having a substituting group branched from its main chain, and (B) a phosphinate and/or a diphosphinate.
