PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select display form of error information based on the occurrence of a fault in an image forming apparatus, and to improve operability of the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: A printing part 11 prints printing data on a printing medium. A storage part 7 stores a plurality of error display sets having different display form from each other, being the error display sets comprising a plurality of pieces of error information displaying the faults that can be caused in an apparatus A related to the printing operation of the printing part 11. An input part 9 receives selective input of the error display set. An error control part 13 controls to display the error information related to the fault caused by operation of the apparatus A on a display part 9 based on the error display set selectively input in the input part 9.
