Disclosed is an adapter (20) which is connected to a source device (10) and which wirelessly receives an EDID response message signal containing data of a plurality of video display systems and a plurality of audio output systems of a sync device (40) from an adapter (30). Further, the adapter selects the video display system having the fastest data transmission speed and the audio output system having the fastest data transmission speed in accordance with the received data of the plurality of video display systems and the plurality of audio output systems, and reserves the bandwidth used for wirelessly transmitting the selected video display system video signal and the selected audio output system audio signal as the bandwidth for wirelessly transmitting the video/audio signal from the source device (10).
