PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly calculate a relative distance from an identification information transmitter which is possessed by the user of an information processing system and transmits identification information by radio. SOLUTION: The user Y possessing the identification information transmitter 4 operates a personal computer 3, and transmits printing data to the digital composite machine 2 of the information processing system 1 via a network. When the user Y approaches the digital composite machine 2, the digital composite machine 2 receives the radio wave of the identification information transmitter 4 by a radio communication module 29, and measures the electric field intensity of the reception radio wave, calculates a relative distance from a transmission source based on relative data between the relative distance from the identification information transmitter 4 and the electric field intensity, and then, controls an operation based on the calculation result. The digital composite machine 2 includes a means for correcting the relative data based on the electric field intensity of the reception radio wave from the identification information transmitter 4 arranged apart by a prescribed distance.
