摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle detector whose detection sensor sensitivity can automatically be adjusted by a user, thereby enabling improvement in productivity of a sewed product. SOLUTION: The needle detector including a driving motor 2 for conveying an object to be detected with a conveying belt 4, a needle-detecting sensor 8 for detecting the passage of a metal in the object to be detected as a change in induced voltage, and a controller 33 for adjusting the detection sensitivity of induced voltage of the needle-detecting sensor 8 and outputting the adjusted voltage, wherein that the controller 33 includes a speed control substrate 36 for controlling the rotation speed of the driving motor 2, and a digital main substrate 23 which memorizes a correlation curve (A) of the conveying speeds of standard metals with sensitivities corresponding to the conveying speeds, and the similar correlation curve (B or C) of a sample metal, and can set a prescribed threshold (K or K1) between both the curves; and the optimal sensitivity corresponding to the set conveying speed of the object to be detected is automatically calculated and set on the basis of a sensitivity obtained from both the curves.
