PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for polishing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, with which a stable electrophotographic photoreceptor causing no image defects consistently can be produced, even after the production number of prints is increased from the initial stage of print production. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for polishing an electrophotographic photoreceptor which polishes the surface of an electrophotographic photoreceptor using a sheet-like polishing means having a polishing face with a cubic-shaped part containing particles.
