PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting building material excellent in lighting property and not dazzling a person even if the person looks at the sun through the lighting building material. SOLUTION: The lighting building material has an acceptance angle, which causes the total light transmittance of 50%, of not smaller than 20°on the condition that the total light transmittance is 100% at an exit angle of 0°and an acceptance angle of 0°under a total light transmittance of not lower the 60%. The building material comprises a light diffusion layer containing a transparent resin and fine particles having a mean particle size of 1-20μm and an index of refraction different from that of the transparent resin by 0.05 or more. Preferably, 2-20 mass% of the fine particles is contained in 100 mass% of the light diffusion layer, and the thickness of the light diffusion layer is 20-1,200μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
