PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organosilicon compound containing polyfunctional epoxy groups that comprises a plurality of epoxy groups each capable of forming a bond with an organic resin part by way of reacting with the resin part and is effective as a primer or a resin modifier, a method of preparing the same, a coating agent composition, and an article coated with the composition. SOLUTION: The organosilicon compound that comprises a plurality of epoxy groups per one alkoxysilyl group wherein the ratio of the epoxy groups relative to the alkoxysilyl groups can optionally be adjusted, is prepared by causing a hydroxy group of a polyglycidyl ether compound that comprises a plurality of epoxy groups in its molecule to react with an isocyanate group of an isocyanate-type silane coupling agent. There are also disclosed a method of preparing the same, a coating agent composition comprising the compound as its main component, and an article coated with the composition.
