EARTHQUAKE EARLY WARNING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake early warning system for securing safety by informing people around of the occurrence of an abnormal situation in advance to warn them. SOLUTION: This earthquake early warning system 100 comprises: a seismometer 2 for detecting an earthquake 1 and transmitting information about it; a public institution (such as the Meteorological Agency) 4 for analyzing the information from the seismometer 2 and estimating an earthquake source and the magnitude of the earthquake and distributing the emergency earthquake information to each base station; a receiving device (a receiving means) 7 provided in the base station 15 to receive the emergency earthquake information; a distribution device 8 for distributing the emergency earthquake information received by the receiving device 7; and a plurality of radio sets 12 for receiving the emergency earthquake information from the delivery device 8.
