The illuminant (2) has one or more individual light sources (4) with an electrical connection (9), which is magnetically adhered, particularly with two magnetically adhered electrical connections. The electrical connection is a permanent magnet, and comprises a laminar contact. One of the individual light sources comprise a light emitting diode, particularly a white or colored light emitting diode. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a carrier comprises two groups of electrical contacts; and (2) a lighting system comprises an illuminant and a carrier.
