PURPOSE: A method for producing drug release thermo rod is provided to perform local hyperthermia and minimize toxicity by the increase of drug concentration in blood. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing active drug release thermo rod which generates heat by eddy current loss and hysteresis loss comprises: a step of processing the thermo rod in a specific form; a step of mixing polymer which functions as a support between drugs to produce drug mixing specimen; and a step of forming drug mixture layer using the drug mixing specimen on the thermo rod surface. The polymer is polyethylenecovinylacetate.
