PURPOSE: A decelerator cooling device for testing the durability a motion drive unit of an excavator and a cooling method using the same are provided to produce the exact result of a test by cooling a decelerator through a chamber type nozzle and maintaining the temperature of the decelerator. CONSTITUTION: A decelerator cooling device for testing the durability a motion drive unit of an excavator comprises a chamber type nozzle(10), a cooling medium pressure source(20), a cooling medium control valve(30), a wireless temperature sensor, and a controller(50). The chamber type nozzle is fixed on an installation frame to maintain air-tightness in a decelerator cover with a cooling medium inlet hole. The cooling medium pressure source is connected to a chamber type nozzle part. The cooling medium control valve is positioned between the chamber type nozzle part and the cooling medium pressure part. The cooling medium control valve controls the amount of the cooling medium. The wireless temperature sensor is attached on the decelerator. The controller selectively adjusts the cooling medium control valve.
