METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SETTING TELEPHONY MODE OF MOBILE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for determining a phone receiving mode of a mobile terminal are provided to automatically determine a voice call mode and a video call mode using behavior features of a user and motion of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(120) inputs behavior information of a user for starting a call. A movement sensor(180) senses a movement direction and size of the mobile terminal. A controller(170) determines a voice call mode or a video call mode based on the behavior information of the user and sensed action if a phone receiving event occurs. The controller determines a voice call mode or a video call mode according to direction of movement of the mobile terminal.
