<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound output device that is usable even in a reproduction environment of a large number of channels to which a sound source corresponds, and eliminates the need for a user to set equipment or switch connection even in a reproduction environment of a smaller number of channels. <P>SOLUTION: The sound output device can output sound signals of a plurality of numbers of channels from a plurality of sound output parts for each channel. The sound output device is provided with a first sound output mode for outputting first sound signals being a first number of channels from the plurality of sound output parts, and a second sound output mode for simultaneously outputting second sound signals being a second number of channels smaller than the first number of channels and third sound signals being a third number of channels smaller than the first number of channels by using the plurality of sound output parts. The plurality of sound output parts used for outputting the second sound signals and the third sound signals in the second sound mode are used for outputting the first sound signals in the first sound mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
