<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component which is compact and has high performance by improving connection stability and reliability as a coil component, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coil component comprises a resist layer 108 of an insulating resin made of a photosensitive resin and a coil portion incorporated in the resist layer 108, wherein the coil portion connects a stacked coil pattern 102 by a via electrode 104, and a bottom portion of the via electrode 104 is connected to a coil pattern 102 of other layer through a metal layer 110 made of gold, silver, palladium, platinum, tin, or nickel.
