A housing (1) capable of inhibiting any lubricant inflow in an optical pickup device. The housing (1) has optical parts accommodated therein and bonded with an adhesive, and is slid in a radial direction of optical recording medium by a main shaft and sub-shaft. Accordingly, the housing (1) is provided with main bearings (12,13) slidably supported by the main shaft and a sub-bearing (14) slidably supported by the sub-shaft. At least the surface thereof in the vicinity of the sub-bearing (14) is mirror-finished.
