PURPOSE: A layout method for an apartment house is provided to distribute sufficient sunshine duration to the whole household by applying sunrise and sunset conditions to the layout. CONSTITUTION: A layout method for an apartment house is as follows. A three-dimensional digital map for geographical features of a region in which the apartment house is constructed(A). A layout model including building type and magnification are arranged in the digital map(B). The plane and cubic faces of the housing are inputted to the digital map and three-dimensional modeling is performed using a computer(C). The sun route, sun-shadow characteristic, and sunshine duration to the model through environmental analysis program including three-dimensional sunshine program, and a three-dimensional analysis material is created based on the analysis material(D). It is determined whether to the sunshine to the front side of the housing is maintained over 2 hours(E).
