<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized motor controller having high practicability which can achieve proper control operation including a fail safe function by cooperating with an ECU. <P>SOLUTION: The motor controller CTL has: a closed circuit including a DC motor M; an MOSFET disposed between the closed circuit and a ground line; a driving section outputting a driving pulse DV to control ON/OFF of the MOSFET; and a power supply section 1 for generating a power supply voltage Vcc based on an external power supply. The driving section has a microcomputer MIC for determining a duty ratio of the driving pulse based on a command signal of 1-bit length to be received from the ECU, the microcomputer MIC is provided with: a first means for detecting an abnormality of the external power supply; a second means for detecting a current abnormality in ON operation of the MOSFET; and a third means for detecting a voltage abnormality in OFF operation of the MOSFET, and the fact that any of abnormalities is detected is transmitted from the microcomputer MIC to the ECU. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
