IC CARD, IC CARD SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit only a legitimate user to use a child IC card.

SOLUTION: The IC card includes: a key storing section for storing a common key set by an IC card issuer upon issuing the card, a public key certificate of a parent IC card issued by a certificate authority, a signed public key signed with a secret key of the parent IC card, and the secret key; a data transmitting/receiving section for receiving at least the public key certificate and the signed public key from the parent IC card; an encryption operation section for decoding encrypted biological information of a user received from the parent IC card using the common key; and a biological information storing section for storing the first encrypted biological information. The use of the card is limited according to the validity of the biological information of the user.
