<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when the amount of magnetic flux emitted to outside a choke coil is reduced, an increase in volume of a magnetic core is inevitable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The composite choke coil has a closed magnetic path magnetic core formed by combining together divided magnetic cores 10 and 19 each having a back magnetic plate 11, external magnetic legs 13 raised from both opposite sides 12 of the back magnetic plate 11 at right angles to the back magnetic plate 11, a partition magnetic leg 14 raised at right angles to the back magnetic plate 11 while connecting centers of the external magnetic legs 13 to each other, and intermediate magnetic legs 16 raised from the back magnetic plate 11 in recessed portions 15 enclosed with the external magnetic legs 13 and partition magnetic leg 14, wherein the center magnetic legs 16 are wound with first and second coils 17 and 18 respectively, partition magnetic legs 14 are made to abut against each other across a magnetic gap 20, and the external magnetic legs 13 have cross section half as large as that of the center magnetic leg 16.
