摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a compact printed wiring board by which damage such as cracking, foil flotation and peeling of a wiring pattern during blanking processing and damage such as breaking and cracking of a projection portion are reduced or eliminated, and to provide the compact printed wiring board. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An additional pattern 18 is formed by solder resist on a commutator surface side of the projection portion 14 of a printed wiring commutator 10 comprising the compact printed wiring board. The additional pattern 18 has the highest surface 18a higher than the height of a surface 16a of a commutator segment 16 from an insulating base 11 and the lowest surface 18b lower than the height of the surface 16a of the commutator segment 16 from the insulating base 11, and the step (d1) between the highest surface 18a and lowest surface 18b of the additional pattern 18 is smaller than the height (t) of the surface of the commutator segment 16 from the insulating base 11 (i.e. the thickness of the commutator segment 16).
