<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of improving jointing strength by an adhesive of a pipe used for the heat exchanger, in particular a heat exchanger for an air conditioner and a jointing method of pipes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 1 includes a plurality of pieces of first pipe 3 each mounted with a fin 2 having a refrigerant made to flow; second piping 5 for interconnecting end parts 7 of the adjacent first pipe 3; adhesive layers comprising the adhesives 11 for jointing the first pipe 3 to the second pipe 5; and rugged faces 9a formed at least one of the adhered faces of the first pipe 3 and the second pipe 5.
