<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating apparatus capable of reducing the installation space of water heat exchangers while improving performance by reducing the pressure loss of a refrigerant in the water heat exchangers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The refrigerating apparatus comprises a compressor 1, an air heat exchanger 2, an expansion mechanism 3 and two plate-type water heat exchangers 4. The two water heat exchangers 4 are arranged in a vertical direction. In the adjacent water heat exchangers 4, 4, an upper refrigerant passage port of the lower water heat exchanger 4 and a lower refrigerant passage port of the upper water heat exchanger 4 are connected to each other through a refrigerant passage 10.
