PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft coupling, embodied on the system in which power is transmitted through rolling element(s) rolling in guide grooves perpendicularly intersecting each other from one to the other of two shafts laid parallel, and capable of smoothening the power transmitting operation. SOLUTION: The shaft coupling includes an axial direction restraining mechanism 8 having a pin 8c to be threaded through guide holes 13 and 14 provided in plates 1 and 2 having the guide grooves perpendicularly intersecting each other and is structured so that the peripheral surface of the pin 8c is covered with a resilient member 8e, and thereby sounds and/or vibrations are unlikely to be generated because the contacting shocks of the pin 8c with the inner side faces of the guide holes 13 and 14 are relieved by the resilient member 8e even if the pin 8c moves within the guide holes 13 and 14 in the condition contacting with their inner side faces, and it is possible to perform a smooth power transmitting operation.
