<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of reducing a time for a start-up process of a fuel cell and saving energy consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1, in a start-up process of a fuel cell 10, supplies anode gas and opens a purge valve 351 and carries out a first gas substitution process for substituting gas in an anode gas passage to judge whether the fuel cell 10 satisfies a given power generation starting condition. At this stage, in case the power generation starting condition is not satisfied even if the first gas substitution process is carried out, a dilution assisting valve 241 is opened and dilution gas is introduced to a dilution unit 50, and after promoting dilution of gas in the dilution unit, and as the anode gas is supplied, a drain valve 361 is opened and a second gas substitution process in which gas in the anode gas passage is substituted is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
