<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide useful information concerning a typhoon suitable for individuals or specific spots in compliance with a law to a terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal device 10 for providing information related with typhoon approach to a user includes: a typhoon information acquisition means 106 for acquiring typhoon information including an observation time related with a prescribed typhoon, the location, traveling speed and traveling direction of a typhoon at the observation time; a current location specification means 107 for specifying the current location of the terminal device 10; a typhoon location and distance calculation means 108 for calculating the current location of the typhoon at the current time based on the acquired typhoon information, and for calculating a distance from the current location of the typhoon to the current location of the terminal device 10; a display information control means 105 for creating display information based on the calculated distance; and a display means 104 for displaying the created display information.
