<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reliable and simple termination for a covered cable, by enabling the user to easily recognize and check that the conductor exposed at the terminal of the cable is surely covered fluid-tightly with an insulating material. <P>SOLUTION: This is a cable terminal cap to be attached to the end of a covered cable. This includes a bottomed cap body 11, which has space capable of accommodating the end of the covered cable, with a small-diameter part 12 and a large diameter part 13 in the shape of cylinders different in diameter being provided continuously, and a liquid-form silicon material 21, which has insulation, being accommodated in this cap body. The cap body is formed in the dimensions and shape of having inner cylindrical faces 12c and 13c abutting on or adjoining the outer face of the covered cable. On the other hand, the silicon material is accommodated by such a volume that it leaks out when the end of the covered cable is accommodated from the side of the open end of the cap body, and an extension 14 capable of tape winding is formed at the cap body by extending a part of the open end of the large-diameter part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
