<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-saving device capable of saving intentionally as well as easily a power consumption of a high pressure discharge lamp, such as, mercury lamp and sodium-vapor lamp which does not cause condition of lighting failure. <P>SOLUTION: The power-saving device 1 is provided with a power-saving unit 11 arranged close to a discharge lamp 2 and a wireless remote controller 21 to be carried by a maintenance worker of a lighting equipment. The power-saving unit 11 is provided with a setting circuit 12 for setting a power-saving ratio, a power adjustment circuit 13 with a switching element 17, a power measuring circuit 14 for measuring an actually consumed power, a sending/receiving circuit 15, and a controlling circuit 16. The wireless remote controller 21 is provided with an input portion 22 and a sending/receiving circuit 23, the power-saving ratio is set on the setting circuit 12 by wireless communication. The controlling circuit 16, based on the power-saving ratio and the measured power value, controls a conduction timing of the switching element 17 by a phase zone excluding a peak portion of a voltage waveform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
