<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting a light-receiving/emitting element, an optical waveguide and a light signal path converting part at a low cost and with a simple process and to provide a low-cost optical substrate, having superior connection characteristic by improving mounting reliability of the connecting part, and also to provide a manufacturing method of the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical substrate includes: an insulated resin layer (10), having a metallic layer (20) patterned with an opening formed on a first surface; a light-receiving/emitting element (60) with a light-receiving/emitting part (61) installed in the opening to be on the first surface side; and an optical waveguide (50) arranged on the insulated resin layer so as to be optically connected to the light-receiving/emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
