PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid droplet jetting device which makes variation in liquid droplet striking position less likely to occur, thus enabling high image quality recording. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording head 20 is mounted in a radial direction of a conveying drum 26, and can be vertically moved relative to (brought into contact with and separated from) the conveying drum 26. For maintenance of the ink jet recording head 20, the ink jet recording head 20 is vertically moved. However, since the ink jet recording head 20 moves in the radial direction of the conveying drum 26, a monitoring angle does not change. Accordingly, the effect of an error in the direction of the height of the ink jet recording head 20 on a striking position is less than that in the case where a head holder 40 holding the ink jet recording head 20 is vertically moved. Therefore, even when the ink jet recording head 20 is vertically moved, variation in ink striking position is less likely to occur, thus enabling high image quality recording.
