PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shortest photographic distance from getting longer due to the focal distance of a lens in a flashing device capable of turning the optical axis of a light emitting part toward a photographic optical axis at the time of short distance photographing. SOLUTION: The flashing device used for a camera to photograph a subject through a photographic lens is equipped with the light emitting part 11 capable of turning an emitted light optical axis toward the photographic optical axis of the photographic lens, an irradiation angle changing part 9 changing the light irradiation angle of the light emitting part in accordance with the focal distance of the photographic lens, a detection part 8 detecting whether or not the emitted light optical axis of the light emitting part is turned toward the photographic optical axis, and a control part 5 controlling the irradiation angle changing part 9 so that the light irradiation angle of the light emitting part may be set to a prescribed wide-angle side when the detection part detects that the emitted light optical axis of the light emitting part is turned toward the photographic optical axis.
