PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card holder wherein a card is easily taken out while a card smudge is prevented. SOLUTION: The card holder 1 is equipped with a front plate 2 completely covering the front surface of the card CD and a rear plate 3 which is joined to the front plate 2 and completely covers the rear surface of the card CD. The rear plate 3 has a fixed part 31 which is fixed to the front plate 2 and covers the lower end part of the rear surface of the card CD and a movable part 33 which is connected to the upper end of the fixed part 31 via a hinge part 32. The movable part 33 is rotatable with respect to the fixed part 31 between an open position for exposing the upper end part of the card CD and a closed position for covering the rear face of the upper end part of the card CD. In the state where the movable part 33 is in the closed position, both surfaces of the card CD are completely covered and a smudge of the card CD is prevented. When the card CD is taken out, the card CD can be easily taken out by displacing the movable part 33 to the open position and putting a finger on the rear surface of the upper end part of the exposed card CD.
