PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing firmware using a communication network for enabling a user to change wording information carried as the firmware of an electronic device to his or her desired content in his or her desired timing. SOLUTION: Information for display to be displayed by a display 31 of the electronic device 30 is stored as language model data 11 corresponding to a plurality of languages according to the type of the electronic device 30 in a service server 10. After downloading the language model data 11 specifying the type and language of the electronic device 30, a communication terminal device 20 performs the reprogramming edition of at least a portion of the language model data, and transmits the edited information for display to the service server 10. The service server 10 generates the firmware of the same type of electronic device on the basis of the edited information for display, and returns it to reply target terminal.
