PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified natural rubber obtained by modifying a natural rubber while suppressing the deterioration by heat generation of the natural rubber, and capable of improving the characteristics of a rubber product such as a tire, to provide a method for producing the modified natural rubber, to provide a rubber composition containing the modified natural rubber, and to provide the tire produced by using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The modified natural rubber is produced by adding a compound to at least one natural rubber raw material selected from the group consisting of a solid natural rubber, a natural rubber latex and a natural rubber derivative, irradiating the resultant mixture with microwave to cause the graft polymerization or the addition of the compound on or to the natural rubber raw material. The method for producing the modified natural rubber, the rubber composition containing the modified natural rubber, and the tire produced by using the rubber composition are also provided.
