The invention relates to a clutch release bearing device having a first race (1), a second race (2), rolling elements (W) contained in a raceway (B) defined between the two races, and a cage device (3) for guiding the rolling elements within the above raceway. The second bearing race (2) and the first bearing race (1) overlap in the axial direction, the second bearing race externally encompassing the first bearing race. A ring wall (1a, 2a) drawn radially inward under the radial level of the first rolling element race surface area (B1) is formed both on the first bearing race and on the second bearing race. The clutch release bearing device further has a sealing device for preventing impurities from penetrating into the raceway through a potential penetration area defined between the two ring walls. The sealing device comprises a cover ring element (4) descending into a sealing zone (D). Said cover ring element is integrated in the clutch release bearing device such that the cross section of a potential particle penetration path between the two ring walls (1a, 2a) is reduced, and the second ring wall (2a) formed by the second bearing race (2) rotates relative to the cover ring element (4).
