The present invention relates to a device for the temporary improvement of blood flow. The device comprises: a stent part having a cylindrical reticulated structure, for artificially expanding the inner diameter of a blood vessel at a site on the blood vessel which has been narrowed due to a blood clot; a vessel-clamping part which becomes progressively narrower towards the tip in order to both improve the flow force and reduce friction when removing the stent from its inserted state; and an extension part, one part of which has been formed by laser cutting in such a way as to form a hook part at the end while spreading out from one of the fibre members forming the cylindrical reticulated structure of the vessel-clamping part. The present invention can not only constitute a revolutionary method for acute treatment of thrombosis in hind-brain circulation and the proximal mesencephalic artery or proximal internal carotid artery where the prognosis for vascular thrombolysis has been poor when using prior-art surgical intervention, but it can also increase safety by either dispensing with or minimising the use of thrombolytic drugs, and can also reduce risk by minimising work within the cerebral blood vessels necessary for the operation.
