<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a plurality of image forming apparatuses to simultaneously perform processing of shutting off power sources in a dispersion method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a means informing other image forming apparatuses of the fact that the power source is shut off, when the shutting off of the power source is operated; a detection means detecting that the shutting off of the power source is operated in other image forming apparatuses; and a means starting shutting off processing of the power source of a self apparatus, when the detection is performed.
