PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform preview-display of a file of images or the like stored in a folder in a sufficient image size and resolution.

SOLUTION: An image display device 100A includes an icon displaying part 131 for displaying a list of folder icons indicating folders in an icon display area, and a preview slide show executing part 133 for performing slide show display of a file which is selected from the folder icons listed in the icon display area by the icon displaying part 131 and stored in a folder corresponding to the folder icon in a preview display area in the same screen as the icon display area. Thus, a user can easily perform an operation, such as file browsing while looking at a large preview screen.
