<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction mechanism of an automatic transmission which can make a position of an elastic member for applying the restoring force to a piston of the friction mechanism coincide with an axial center of a transmission case more easily by employing a shape of a spring retainer. <P>SOLUTION: The friction mechanism of the automatic transmission consists of the spring retainer 17 provided to an inner peripheral surface of a transmission case 1, a wave coil spring 15 provided to an accommodation surface of the spring retainer 17, a center support 7 provided inside the transmission case 1, a piston 9 which is provided to a pressure chamber 7a formed in the center support 7 and to which elastic force is imparted by coming into contact with the wave coil spring 15, and a plurality of plates 5 spline-connected to the inner peripheral surface of the transmission case 1 and pressurized by the piston 9. The spring retainer 17 includes a projected flange 17b for coinciding the axial center of the wave coil spring 15 with respect to the axial center of the transmission case 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
