<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene-based extruded foam with a high foaming ratio and a method for producing it, which can be produced by using a conventional extrusion foaming device and using nitrogen gas as a foaming agent. <P>SOLUTION: The polypropylene-based extruded foam is obtained by melting and kneading a mixture containing a polypropylene-based resin and nitrogen gas in an extruder, and then, extrusion-foaming the mixture from a die. The polypropylene-based resin satisfies the following requirements A and B, and when extrusion molding is carried out to a low pressure area, a foaming ratio is 3 times or more. The requirement (A) is that the pressure correction value for Bargley correction is 4 MPa or more in the capillary flow test carried out at a measuring temperature of 210°C and a shearing rate of 1,216 s<SP>-1</SP>.
