<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material with an energy absorption function efficiently, in an engine frame with an adhesion-cutoff restoration member having a restoration function of a frame. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the engine frame, a proof stress member 3 is arranged between frame members 2, 2 in parallel capable of generating relative displacement when a horizontal force is working, the restoration member 4 for exhibiting a restoration force when bearing a tensile force is arranged through the proof stress member 3 while adhesion with the proof stress member 3 is cut off and both end parts of the proof stress member 3 are fixed with the frame members 2, 2. In the engine frame, between the frame members 2, 2 and the proof stress member 3 which are facing each other, a tensile member 5 capable of bearing the tensile force and yielding when both the members are relatively displaced is intervened while being separated from the frame members 2 and the proof stress member 3.
