摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device capable of controlling the carry-through force of fuel spraying, by changing a flow of fuel in a sucking chamber of a nozzle according to an engine operation state to control the generation of cavitation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fuel injection device comprises the nozzle having a fuel injection nozzle hole at its tip end portion, the sucking chamber formed at the tip end portion in the nozzle and communicating to the nozzle hole, a first needle arranged in the nozzle movably in an axial direction of the nozzle so as to control an inflow of fuel into the sucking chamber, and a second needle movable in the axial direction of the nozzle in regard to the first needle and having a tip end portion projecting out from a tip end portion of the first needle into the sucking chamber. According to the engine operation state, the projecting amount into the sucking chamber of the tip end portion of the second needle to the tip end portion of the first needle when fuel is injected is controlled, thereby controlling the carry-through force of fuel spraying.
