<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope light guide flexible tube which is excellent in durability and operability and manufacturable by a simple manufacturing method, and a manufacturing method of the shell layer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: By masking treatment, a second coat layer 16 is selectively laminated at the center part and both end parts of a first coat layer 14 to manufacture the shell layer 12. In the shell layer 12 manufactured in such a manner, the center part 12C and first and second end parts 12E and 12F are turned to highly rigid areas. The highly rigid areas are excellent in strength and durability with a thicker film thickness and higher rigidity than other areas. For the light guide flexible tube having such a shell layer 12, the durability is improved by the highly rigid areas of the shell layer 12 and the operability is excellent as well by lowly rigid areas.
