PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and low price paper alignment device with a simple composition capable of conveying paper sheets suitably aligned in high speed when performing post-processing, and an image forming system. SOLUTION: The paper alignment device comprises a paper storage part for storing one or a plurality of paper sheets, a stored paper conveying means for conveying one or a plurality of the paper sheets stored in the paper storage part, and a paper carrying-out means arranged on the downstream side in a paper carrying-out direction of the paper storage part for carrying-out one or a plurality of the paper sheets conveyed from the paper storage part, and performs alignment in the paper conveying direction by contacting tip parts in the paper carrying-out direction of one or a plurality of the paper sheets conveyed by the stored paper conveying means.
