<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brazing filler metal having excellent toughness hardly causing cracks or the like in a brazed part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the brazing filler metal 1, a Ni-plated layer 3 is formed on a surface 2a of an amorphous Ni-brazing filler metal 2. Slits 4 are formed in the Ni-plated layer 3 to form a pattern in which a part of the amorphous Ni-brazing filler metal 2 is exposed.
