METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING REMOTE ACCESS SERVICE

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a remote access service are provided to supply a remote access service to a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) RAS(Remote Access Server) device of a remote network and a UPnP RAC(Remote Access Client) device through a NAT(Network Address Translation) device. CONSTITUTION: A RATA(Remote Access Transport Agent) capability information receiving unit(1024) receives RATA capability information of a remote access device and a home RAS device from the remote access device and the home RAS device. A RATA profile generating unit(1026) produces a RATA profile based on RATA capability information that the home RAS device and the remote access device support. A RATA profile transmitting unit(1028) transmits the generated RATA profile to the home RAS device and the remote access device.
