<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-stage coil for a transformer, and its winding method and device, which are increased in coil capacity, . <P>SOLUTION: At least two or more flat rectangular wires 1a and 1b sent individually or simultaneously (one over the other) are clamped by at least two pairs of rollers in a width direction and a thickness direction at a shaping unit 6 to be united, and rolled at the same time into two or more flat rectangular electric wires. The two shaped electric wires are stacked at the winding unit 8 into disk winding to obtain a multistage coil. This coil has the same effect as that obtained by increasing the sectional area of each electric wire unit. Two or more systems up to the shaping unit 6 of the winding device may be arranged in a plane layout such that one flat rectangular electric wire is supplied to each system and electric wires are stacked in the winding unit 8 while put one over the other.
