<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To learn idle controlled variables and improve fuel consumption in a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine and a motor for outputting power for traveling. <P>SOLUTION: When the learning of idle controlled variables is not completed (S310), and an eco switch signal ESW is OFF, the stop of an engine 22 is prohibited (S320, S340), and the learning of the idle controlled variables corresponding to the establishment of learning conditions is performed by continuing the driving of the engine 22. When the eco switch signal ESW is ON, the stop of the engine 22 is permitted (S320, S330), the intermittent driving of the engine 22 is performed, and the learning of the idle controlled variables corresponding to the establishment of the learning conditions is performed during the driving of the engine 22.
